Is it possible to connect an IP camera to the entrance panel for license plates scanning?

Yes, it is possible to connect third-party IP cameras for license plate scanning and use them as identifiers. However, there are a few important conditions for this option to function correctly:

• the BAS-IP panel camera cannot recognize vehicle plate numbers by default. It is only possible if Axis camera with ALPR (Automatic License Plate Recognition) option is connected. This can be one of the following models: AXIS P1455-LE-3, AXIS P3245-LVE-3, AXIS Q1700-LE;
• to send a license plate number to the panel you must install the AXIS License Plate Verifier software;
• an Axis camera and BAS-IP entrance panel must be in the same subnet;
• one Axis camera can be connected to only one BAS-IP entrance panel.
