How to configure the AV-04AFD entrance panel to make emergency calls to rescue services?

AV-04AFD has a feature of connection with a dispatcher in case of fire or emergency. After long pressing the quick-dial button, the panel will make a SIP call to an emergency service number. If a connection with a dispatcher will be successful, connected to the panel signal lamp switches on. The lamp will show people refuge to rescuers.  

The signal lamp can be switched off by a rescue team on arrival or automatically in a determined period.   

Firstly, your device must have appropriate firmware (3.2.0 or later). For update: 

  1. Download the firmware
  2. Download, install and open Remote Upgrade Tool
  3. Find the IP address of the monitor from the list and click it.
  4. Select the previously downloaded firmware.
  5. Tick Auto Reboot.

     
  6. Click Upgrade and wait till the end of the process (status will be shown as Success).
  7. The monitor will reboot several times after the update.


Secondly, SIP calls must be enabled for the device. To do it, you must:  

  1. Log in to the device web interface. By default, the username is admin, and the password is 123456.
  2. Open the Panel tab.
  3. In the SIP settings part, indicate the following information:
    • SIP server proxy. You must start the proxy address with compulsory part sip:;
    • realm (SIP server address) can be represented by an IP address or a domain name;
    • STUN server IP (e.g. stun.l.google.com);
    • the port of the STUN server. STUN server 19302 port is used for Google.
    • login is a SIP number;
    • password for the number;
    • transport type: UDP/TCP/TLS;
    • enable the auto re-registration and set re-registration interval (if required to renew the lost connection with the SIP server automatically). 
  4. Save settings. As a result of the correct configuration, the status SIP will be displayed at the bottom of the web interface. 


      If all previous steps are done, you can configure the Rescue service feature: 

  1. Log in to the device web interface. By default, the username is admin, and the password is 123456.
  2. Open the Access Management tab.
  3. At the Additional settings part, choose the Rescue service feature.
  4. Enter the SIP number for an emergency call. The number must be indicated in the following format: sip:number@device IP address or server address. For example, sip:45110@gb.sip.bas-ip.com.
  5. Indicate the time period (0-3600 min) for the signal lamp automatically switching off. Also, the lamp can be switched off by a rescue team with the help of a separately connected button.
  6. Save settings.
